Where’d You Go?

Apologies to my thousands of readers for my absence over the last week or so. Allow me to explain. Or perhaps I should follow the advice of the great philosopher Inigo Montoya and just sum up?

I spent most of last week trying to catch up, and then get ahead, so that I could enjoy a peaceful Christmas weekend. Then, success achieved, I spent most of that weekend purposefully unplugged and away from the online world. It was wonderful.

Now, it’s time to get back to work and do something that I’ve been meaning to do for a couple years and conduct my own past year review. This is something that comes to me from author Tim Ferriss and then was further enhanced by Graham Mann. It’s fairly simple in that you go back through the year and find all the positive and negatives, then aiming for doing more of the former and less of the latter.

Of course, the challenge here is trying to work through a year like 2020 where the negative was omnipresent and therefore, in some ways, hard to define in a focused way. Yeah, I’d like a lot less of 2020 please, but since every day was sorta the same, how do I go about doing it?

Which is why I’m setting aside some time each day this week to look back over the year, journal, and ask myself some tough questions about what I’ve done and what I want to do going forward.

After all, I’ve had nearly forty five spins around the sun at this point. Still room for improvement, right?

PS – By the way… we should all be listening to more Bosstones, dontcha think? Here’s a playlist to start your day off the right way.
