I feel like I’m always in this battle with myself between simplicity and complexity. And, much like what we know about battles, it can get confusing really quickly. Doing a bunch of simple things is great until they start getting layered, because the layers can create complexity.

Why is it so hard to do something simple?

Maybe it’s trying to show off, maybe it’s insecurity, or maybe it’s just a human tendency towards self-destruction. But man, is it every complicated trying to keep something simple.

Look at this post right here. I was trying to make a simple point about simplicity – we’re now four paragraphs deep and what have I really said?
