Time to celebrate another slingshot around the sun I suppose. Sounds so much cooler than birthday doesn’t it? Like I was actually more a part of the process than hanging on for dear life as this little blue-green ball hurtles through the cosmos on its appointed rounds.
One thing that I’ve noticed is that each year, I want a little bit less. Maybe it’s because I’ve become more satisfied with my life as a whole or that my existence on said blue-green ball has become less and less about stuff and more and more about experiences.
Either way, it certainly makes me a pain in the butt to shop for.
So, this year, I decided to do something a little different and offer up a present for other people. Unfortunately, due to Covid, I won’t be able to take y’all down to the pub for a round on me. However, I think there’s something I can offer up that’ll work in our socially distant world.
For the next month, I’ll be offering the digital version of my book Odd Bits Of Broken Things as a free download here on my website. I know it’s not quite as refreshing as a cold beer, but I’m counting on it being the thought that counts.
Go to the new shop I’ve set up, add the ebook to your cart, and you’ll get the download link after checkout – it’s in a purple-ish box to the right under “Downloads”.
If you’d like your poetry printed on a compressed bit of dead tree, you can also buy one of the limited number of physical copies I have hanging around for the exceedingly reasonable price of $5, plus shipping.
Hope you enjoy and have a slice of cake on me while you’re at it.
If you run into any problems with the ordering process, please leave a comment on this post and I’ll get back to you.
